Mother's Day

We started Mother's Day by trekking back from the ocean.  We had planned on picking up the kids and heading back home but after taking the long way home, and stopping to catch the afternoon bite at Maggie Lake, we decided to extend our vacation by a night and stay at Brett's parents.  Brett caught four trout at the lake so we pan fried them and made clam strips from our collection of razor clams.  It was a delicious Mother's Day dinner and we had fun sharing it with Brett's parents.  Yum!  While we were away the kids made adorable cards and handmade vases full of flowers for me.  So cute.  I would post a picture, but I was terrible at taking pictures this weekend.  I guess I was having too much fun!
