Still waiting on results from Emmett's test. After talking to what felt like a million people yesterday it was determined that we should have results back from three to ten days. I also talked to a pediatric nurse and she does not think Emmett has Whooping Cough based on what I explained to her on the phone. Next step is to go in for a follow-up appointment Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. Woo Hoo!

In my veterinarian opinion, I don't think he has it either.... But I only treat animals so what do I know. Cultures can take up to 14 days to come back depending how easily the bacteria grows. If it grows really easily, like e-coli, it would only take 4-5 days but i think pertussis takes a little bit of time to grow. Deep breaths! Love you guys!
